Somewhere in Winter

Just for Fun

Newman University

I helped create a cohesive brand strategy for Somewhere in Winter! We wanted to include shades of our color specifications and/or logos in everything we created, all leading back to SIW. This way, even in a photo of people breathing fire, you would know SIW had something to do with it.

Daikon Cafe’s owner asked me to create a sign (above) to help with rebranding his restaurant, while also maintaining the original moon and colors (as seen below)

Throughout my time working at Newman, I have developed iterations of our original logo (left) to participate in platform trends and increase engagement. The middle photo was our April Fools joke, “announcing” that we were changing our slogan, while the far right image was a play on Cracker Barrel’s viral logo change. We wanted to maintain core brand recognition while also playing to trends.

To promote an alumni fundraiser that included winning tickets to a Kansas City Royals game, I created a social campaign that successfully drove engagement and participation. This was the teaser image for the fundraiser.
