Social Media Revamp!
Newman University’s social media presence needed a refresh — clearer visuals, sharper messaging, and a strategy that supported our goals.
Engagement was struggling. The university posted a lot of graphic-centered content to advertise written stories, After joining the team, I asked students, parents and faculty/staff what they liked and didn’t like about Newman’s SM presence.
The result of these conversations solidified two things: the people wanted to see students and learn about events.
The Need
Shift focus from graphic-heavy content on FB & IG to more intentional posts, including showcasing student life, promoting events through short-form videos, and offering prospective students and parents an inside look with our “Day in the Life” campaign.
The Solution
IG Grid Before Revamp
Heavy amount of graphics
Limited personality
Created a more dynamic mix of video, portraits, and candid moments which immediately increased engagement and shares
The Impact
Introduced a consistent visual rhythm to make the grid feel intentional and inclusive
IG Grid After Revamp
I focused on showcasing the people who shape our community every day, resulting in higher attendance at on-campus events
Turned the grid into a window into campus life, humanizing our brand
Our efforts led to significant YOY improvements in key performance metrics such as followers, engagement and event participation.
